We love living across the street from the historic Key West Cemetery. With as many as 100,000 souls buried there, and only 30,000 residents currently living on the island, the number of the dead far surpasses the living. When friends ask if we are bothered by our close proximity to the cemetery, we tell them that our neighbors could not be easier to get along with and that the unimpeded vista from our front porch is a rare and desirable find in Old Town. Unless we happen to be around for the zombie apocalypse, we have more to fear from the living.
